About the practice

Meridian Heart & Vascular is an independent practice, opened in 2026 so patients could see the same cardiologist every time. Tests happen down the hall, results are explained in plain words, and your own doctor is kept in the loop.

01

Cardiac consultation

A full hour for your first visit: history, exam, ECG and a plan you leave with in writing.

Often for: Chest pain, palpitations, shortness of breath, a referral from your doctor
02

Echocardiography

Ultrasound of the heart, done here by our own sonographer and read by Dr. Marsh the same day.

Often for: Murmurs, valve disease, heart failure, follow-up after a heart attack
03

Stress testing

Treadmill and stress-echo testing to see how your heart works under effort.

Often for: Exercise symptoms, known or suspected coronary disease, clearance before surgery
04

Heart rhythm monitoring

Holter and 14-day patch monitors, fitted in the office and mailed back from home.

Often for: Skipped beats, racing heart, dizziness, fainting, atrial fibrillation
05

Preventive cardiology

Risk scoring, cholesterol and blood pressure care, and a plan built around your family history.

Often for: Strong family history, high cholesterol, diabetes, wanting to stay ahead
06

Hypertension clinic

Home-reading reviews and medication tuning until your numbers are where they should be.

Often for: High blood pressure that is new, stubborn, or hard to tolerate treatment for

Meet your cardiologist

Dr. Elena Marsh

“Most people leave a cardiology visit with more questions than they came in with. I opened this practice to change that.”

Dr. Marsh is a board-certified cardiologist with eighteen years of practice, the last eleven at a university heart centre, where she led the outpatient prevention clinic. Her focus is the long view: catching heart disease early, and helping patients who already live with it stay active.

She speaks English and Spanish, and still keeps Thursday afternoons for patients who need a longer visit.

Insurance & FAQ

Good to know

Do I need a referral?

Many plans don't require one for a specialist visit, but some HMO plans do. Call us with your insurance card and we'll check for you before booking.

Which insurance do you accept?

Medicare and most major PPO plans, including Aetna, Blue Shield, Cigna and UnitedHealthcare. Coverage changes often, so we confirm yours before the first visit.

What should I bring?

Photo ID, your insurance card, a list of every medication and supplement you take, and any recent test results or hospital discharge papers.

How long will the first visit take?

About an hour. If an echocardiogram is ordered and we have room that day, add another 45 minutes.

Can I message the office?

Yes, through the patient portal or by phone. Please don't send medical details through the contact form on this site.
